ACTIVE VOICE: An Evening of Compelling and Comedic Readings by OCAC Thesis Students
The Oregon College of Art and Craft annual event Active Voice showcases the talented and engaging writing of fourth-year thesis students through an evening of readings. The essays and nonfiction stories the students read aloud vary in both style and content and originated in the "Writing for Artists" class that they took during their third year at OCAC. Some of the written works are thought-provoking, some heart-warming, and others laugh-out-loud funny.
Sponsored by the college’s Student Commonwealth and General Studies Department, Active Voice has packed the house with enthusiastic audience members every year since its inception in 2003. Several faculty members who attend the event annually call it their “favorite of the academic year.”
Complimentary food and beverages served at 6:00pm; readings start at 7:00pm.
