MFA AC+D NCECA Ceramics Exhibitions
The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) annual conference is taking place in Portland on March 22-25, 2017, and the MFA in Applied Craft and Design program will be hosting four exhibitions in the MFA AC+D Studio in the Bison Building during those dates:
10 Years in the Making - Celebrates the former AND current staff of Mudshark Studios, a new model for community; an intersection of artists, craftsmen + designers.
A Tipping Point: Technology in Ceramics - The exhibition, presented by Northern Clay Center, includes artists from around the globe who use 3D printing, CNC routing, and other technologies to produce unique, singular artworks, prototypes, and studies.
Confluence and Bifurcation - Now apart for as long as they were together, The Alfred University Ceramics MFA class of 2015 re-converges to examine their developments.
Diderot/Forrest/Roloff - Enchanted with a mysterious pattern from Diderot’s Encyclopedia and the story of the Trojan Horse, Neil Forrest and John Roloff aspire to a logos of craft, site, ceramics and knowledge. Organized by John Roloff.
Tuesday - Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm; Friday hours extended to 9:00pm
Reception Friday, March 24, 6:00-9:00pm
