FREE Public Lecture with Debbie Quick

She is interim Associate Director of the Art Foundation Program at Virginia Commonwealth University in its School of the Arts, and received her B.F.A. from Tyler School of Art at Temple University with a focus in Ceramics and a certification in teaching. Debbie received her M.F.A. from VCUarts in Ceramics. She holds a Leadership Development Certificate from the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute at VCU and was awarded a Distinguished Faculty Service Award from VCUarts, An Artist in Residency from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, and a 2018 Residency at the Studios at MASS MoCA — in addition to being an F. Lommat Belin Arts Scholarship finalist three times.
Debbie has had solo exhibitions at Quirk Vault Gallery, Richmond, VA and AFA Gallery, Scranton, PA. In 2017 she was VCUarts inaugural faculty research fellow in the Arts Research Institute. Her work has been shown regionally and internationally, including “Tasmeem” as part of the Tasmeem conference in Doha, Qatar. In 2018 she has had work in a number of exhibitions, most recently in two solo exhibitions, “Remnant Accumulation” at Sediment Gallery, Richmond, VA and “Errant” in the Up Front Gallery at ArtSpace, Raleigh, NC.
