OCAC Student Wins Oak Knoll/Rose Festival Wine Label Design Competition

February 23, 2017

Student Winona Hwang, a metals major in OCAC's BFA program, has been announced as the winner of the Rose Festival 2017 Label Design Competition! For the last ten years, Oak Knoll Winery and the Portland Rose Festival worked exclusively with OCAC to provide this competition to students. This year the contest was opened to three other colleges; OCAC students contributed 23 submissions, one of which was the winning design.

The theme of this year's Rose Festival is "Brilliant," and artists were asked to incorporate elements of that theme into their design. Winona's winning label will be unveiled at an event in April, and she'll have the opportunity to participate in the VIP Rose Festival events and networking events througout the year, in addition to winning a $1,000 scholarship.
