Public Transportation
Portland, Oregon is a city with a comprehensive public transportation system as well as a city of bicycle enthusiasts. In fact, in 2011 US News and World Report ranked Portland’s public transportation number five in the country. The system includes light rail called the MAX (which runs to Portland International Airport), an extensive bus system, street cars downtown, and bicycle lanes throughout the city.

The College is conveniently located on the number 20 bus line that stops right out front of campus. In addition, OCAC is about one mile from the Sunset TC MAX Station, an estimated walk of 20-30 minutes or a 15 minute bike ride. Visit trimet.org for schedules, fare, and more information.

Visiting Portland
The city of Portland has lots to offer visitors and its residents. Museums, parks, roses, coffee, restaurants, concerts and events, and tax free shopping are just a few. Visit travelportland.com for suggestions on things to do and places to stay or email us at admissions@ocac.edu.

OFF-CAMPUS EVENTS

Oregon College of Art and Craft is represented at several area and national events. Typical events include National Portfolio Days where students are best served by assembling their portfolios and sharing it with an OCAC admissions counselor who can give them feedback on this important potential application piece.

You may also find OCAC at various college fairs, including select fairs organized by the National Association for College Admissions Counseling. These are information-gathering sessions where you can visit OCAC's table and learn more about our college.

The College also actively visits high schools, communty colleges and art centers, and presents to art students and teachers alike. If your school is interested in a visit, you may complete the request a presentation online form or email the Admissions Office at admissions@ocac.edu
